A leaf-shaped green roof used as cover for a leisure platform.
This unique timber frame structure is based on a central spine (10×30 beam) supporting 38 rafters in a radial distribution. Each rafter is positioned to create an exterior curve, an effect normally achieved with more flexible materials such as bamboo. The smaller exterior beams form an hexagon sitting on thick oak posts burried in the ground. Bracings serve as both structural reinforcement and aesthetic features. All the wood used in this projects was harvested locally.
